“The Ash of a Thousand Suns”, the new EP from San Jaya Prime, is now available on his audio page, as well as on Last.fm and iLike. This EP moves slightly away from the sounds of his debut LP, edging into the genres of electro and glitch. Here is the info, the download links and more:

Large site updates have been implemented. Gratitude goes to Drachimera for technical and conceptual input, as well as for testing. The primary music player now lists the song title and artist without needing to press the (previously available) ? button. Instant access to each artist (without using the menus) can be made simply by clicking on that artist’s thumbnail below the player. Finally, the T Rex eyecon and barcode have filled out the main header section.
In other news, San Jaya Prime’s “The Ash of a Thousand Suns” is more than 90% complete. The album art is available on his audio page along with the track listing. Mastering will be done at Studio de la BMFD on Wednesday the 10th. The public promotional launch of the memorial, website and new EP remain on-schedule for New Years.
Finally, San Jaya Prime will be mixing for the L.A. BLOB Party this coming New Years Eve, alongside BLOB tablists Disco Lama and Big Dig Wiz. The launch and party will mark the three-year anniversary for Trochlear, which launched publicly in January of 2006. Look for free music, great graphics and for that electronic hum on the horizons.

Another new demo cut from Jaya Prime’s upcoming EP is available–Time Interrupt (Eternal Nightshade Demo Cut). The song helps bridge the space between Jaya’s old sound and the new one, which has been greatly influenced by the genres of glitch and electro. DJ Chad (of “The AychEff”) has begun work on a music video for “La Manera del Dolor” by San Jaya Prime. He is aiming to have it finished at (or around) the time TrochlearRex dot Com goes live.
